This townhouse isn’t yet three years old, but has a number of issues that you might not expect.
There are really no excuses for the problems found when we inspected this property – other than poor workmanship and inadequate design! They included:
- inadequate installation of agi pipe behind garage
- elevated exterior finished ground from driveway and pavement are the reasons why water ingress into the garage
- subsided additional slab allows excessive moisture accumulating against the building
- no visible ground drainage noted in the rear courtyard
Don’t get caught out, whatever the perception of buying a modern, newly built property, a full inspection is still essential.
